Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a compassionate team. You will support screenings, treatments, specimen collection, and patient registration while maintaining a clean, well-equipped exam area.

This role requires completion of an approved medical assisting program or military medical training, BLS certification, and clinical externship experience. The position offers varied shifts between 8:00am and 8:00pm with a competitive hourly pay

Qualifications

Graduate from an approved medical assisting program or military training as a hospital corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1).
BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross; obtain during hire if not held.
Completion of a clinical externship or extensive clinical experience.

Responsibilities

Assist with screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, updating allergies, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
