Job summary

American Family Care Frazer is seeking Medical Assistants to join AFC Urgent Care teams in West Chester and Malvern, PA. In a busy clinical setting, you’ll welcome patients, take histories, record vitals, and support exam rooms with compassionate, patient-centered care.

You’ll assist providers with exams and procedures, perform CLIA-waived lab testing, draw blood, conduct EKGs, administer vaccines under supervision, and help keep documentation accurate and rooms stocked.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification or relevant clinical training.
• Experience in urgent care or fast-paced settings preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm, focused under pressure.
• Excellent communication and compassionate, patient-first mindset.
• Positive, dependable, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and room patients, obtain histories, and record vital signs.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, wound care, testing, and treatments.
• Perform CLIA-waived lab testing, collect and process specimens, maintain quality control.
• Administer medications, injections, and vaccines under provider supervision.
• Conduct EKGs, point-of-care testing, and other diagnostic support tasks.
• Draw blood for lab testing as ordered.
• Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and timely.
• Prepare and maintain clean, well-stocked exam rooms.
• Support efficient patient flow in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform drug screenings and provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with providers and teammates to deliver seamless care.
• Follow all infection control, safety, and compliance standards.
