Carbon Health Technologies Inc in Placentia, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our fast-paced, paperless urgent care clinic. You will take vitals, help room patients, assist with procedures, and contribute to a patient-centric, modern care environment.

The role requires willingness to work weekdays and weekends, with some holidays, and includes duties at the front desk, as well as CPT/EKG, lab tests, and preparation for DOT certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program (or legally exempt with experience).
• Current BLS certification; willingness to obtain DOT certification.
• 1+ years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, obtain patient history and triage.
• Assist with procedures such as incision and drainage, lacerations and wound care.
• Administer medications via intradermal, intramuscular and subcutaneous routes; perform ear lavages; run EKGs.
• Conduct lab testing including urinalysis, pregnancy test, glucose testing, rapid tests.
• Manage the front desk and receptionist duties as needed.
• Complete training to become DOT certified for Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests.
