Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Nampa, ID, is hiring a Medical Assistant for the 12th Avenue Urgent Care. You will work with providers, and other MAs and RNs in a care team environment.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, immunizations, injections, assisting with minor procedures, completing tests, and managing tasks in the inbox. The ideal candidate enjoys a fast-paced, team-based setting with strong communication and critical thinking skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
• MA certification must be completed within 90 days of hire from approved agencies.
• New graduates: MA certificate or externship/experience may apply.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (AHA/ARC/MMTN) required at hire.
• CNA does not count toward MA certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, administer immunizations, and prep injections.
• Assist with minor procedures and complete POCT and tests.
• Handle tasks in the inbox and maintain team communication.
• Work in a fast-paced, collaborative care team with MAs and RNs.
