Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a caregiver to join our Express Care and Urgent Care teams in the local area. You will perform screenings, update patient information, monitor conditions and administer medications under provider direction, supporting rapid access to care for common illnesses.

You'll also maintain equipment and handle clerical duties, with a day/evening shift from 8:00am to 8:00pm, and a focus on compassionate, patient-first service in a busy setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program.
• Military training as Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered.
• Completion of a clinical externship OR extensive clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within new hire period.

Responsibilities

• Assist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Administer specific medications under the direction of the provider.
• Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
• Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
