Patriot Urgent Care in Solomons, MD is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support providers and maintain a smooth patient flow between examination and treatment. The role pairs strong clinical skills with compassionate, confidential care in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

This full-time position offers three 12-hour shifts, weekend rotation, competitive pay with monthly patient-volume incentives, comprehensive benefits, generous PTO, and a positive team

Qualifications

• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Two years of clinical experience preferred.
• Proof of current certification needed for CMA involvement.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical intake including obtaining patient history, current medications, chief complaint, vital signs and records in EMR.
• Administer medications, dress wounds, draw blood, and assist providers with procedures.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as eye exams, EKG, audiogram, peak flow, and basic nursing tasks.
• Conduct DOT and Non-DOT urine drug screens with proper chain of custody; prepare for lab pick-up and shipment.
• Monitor inventory of disposables, medical supplies and pharmaceuticals.
• Complete medical charting for services rendered, tests and supplies used.
