Job summary

Patriot Urgent Care in Clinton, MD seeks a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (MA / EMT) to support providers and ensure smooth patient flow between examination and treatment. The role emphasizes compassionate care, confidentiality, and strong interpersonal skills.

Shifts are three 12-hour days per week with weekend and some holiday rotations. Travel to multiple clinic centers is possible within the region; mileage is reimbursed.

Qualifications

• CMA or LPN certification preferred; proof of CMA certification if CMA is held.
• Two years of clinical experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• We do not accept CNA’s, EMT’s, or PMD’s.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical intake including obtaining patient history, current medications, chief complaints, vital signs, and records in EMR.
• Administer medications, dress wounds, draw blood, and assist providers with procedures in exam rooms.
• Perform diagnostic tests including eye exams, electrocardiography, audiogram, peak flow, and basic nursing tasks.
• Conduct DOT and non-DOT urine drug screens with proper chain of custody and prepare for lab pick-up/shipment.
• Monitor inventory of disposable supplies and pharmaceuticals; maintain accurate medical charting.
