Job summary

Advocate Health’s urgent care team in Kernersville, NC seeks a dedicated LPN to join our Emergency Medicine–managed practice. You will support patients of all ages, document care in the EMR, and assist providers during procedures with strong teamwork and patient-centered focus.

We offer comprehensive benefits, a 36-hour work week, and a schedule including every other weekend and rotating holidays. Licensure, BLS, and prior medical office experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with current license to practice in applicable state.
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Practical Nursing.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and document patient interactions in the medical record per scope of practice.
• Perform telephone triage by obtaining data and advising patients per protocols.
• Track labs and tests and present results to the provider.
• Pre-visit planning with provider and care team.
• Administer medications including injections.
• Check vital signs, height and weight; review medication history.
• Assist with procedures and maintain room and equipment.
• Enter orders in EMR as directed and ensure CLIA-waived tests are performed.

Education

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license

Graduate of an Accredited School of Practical Nursing
