Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking caring Family Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to deliver excellent patient care for all ages in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will diagnose, treat, and educate patients while coordinating with a team of healthcare professionals to maintain high standards.

Requirements include active APRN/PA license, FNP/PA-C board certification, DEA license or eligibility, DOT certification or willingness to obtain, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Active state license as an APRN or PA.
• Current FNP or PA-C Board Certification.
• Current DEA license or eligibility to obtain.
• Current DOT certification or willingness to obtain.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide convenient, friendly patient care to all who come through our door seeking health related services.
• Provide leadership, direction, and assistance during emergencies while maintaining a comforting and reassuring affect for patients.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with long hours, changing locations, and frequent contact with others.
• Perform medical assessment, treatment, management and follow up of clinic patients including primary, urgent care, occupational health, DOT physicals and workers' compensation.
• Perform medical procedures including laceration repairs, nail removal, pap tests, injections, splinting and incision and drainage of abscesses.
• Establish and monitor a medically appropriate level of care for clinic patients.
• Oversee on-site laboratory, x-rays, injections, and collections for direct access services, if applicable.
• Maintain clinical core competency and ensure operations align with medical policy and standards.
• Support staff training, development and participation in education programs.
• Represent the clinic at internal and external meetings or events.
• Guide medical staff to ensure quality professional services and patient satisfaction.

Education
