Job summary

Novant Health Urgent Care in Mauldin is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant / Licensed Practical Nurse (FT) to prepare patients for physician visits, take vitals, and document information in the EMR. The role also includes front desk duties and patient service responsibilities.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, administering medications as delegated, and supporting providers with excellent patient care. Occasional coverage at other clinics may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an Accredited Medical Assisting Program
• Current CMA or RMA certification
• Computer skills
• Basic medical terminology
• CPR certification for Healthcare Providers
• OSHA/HIPAA compliance training
• Willing to work 12‑hour shifts and weekends
• Willing to work at other centers as needed
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Collect patient demographics and medical history for the provider.
• Record information in the EMR and ensure accuracy.
• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory tests as directed.
• Assist with medication administration as delegated by a physician or NP.
• Maintain professional behavior and customer service to patients and staff.
• Ensure exam rooms and equipment are clean and functional.
• Support providers by delivering high-quality patient care and communication.
• Provide coverage at other clinic locations as needed.
