Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care at Kissel Hill Urgent Care in Lititz, PA. You will work under the supervision of a provider or licensed nurse, handling rooming, injections, medications, and basic triage for pediatric through geriatric patients.

Candidates must be certified medical assistants (NRCMA), hold BLS, have a high school diploma, and bring 1+ year of MA experience in a primary or specialty care setting. Travel within the region may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required).
• Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (Required).
• 1+ years Medical Assistant experience in a primary or specialty care physician’s office.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for visit by using appropriate rooming standards tool.
• Administers injections, as prescribed by provider and in accordance with practice protocol.
• Prepares and administers medications as prescribed by the provider and in accordance with federal and state regulations.
• Assists with procedures, minor surgeries and other exams as designated by the provider.
• Performs Point of Care Testing and related duties as needed.
• Handles patient information confidentially per policies.
