Beacon Health System is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for MedPoint Urgent Care in Elkhart, IN. This full-time day shift (9-5) position includes alternating weekends and supports physicians with patient care and clerical duties.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant.
• Spanish language ability is desirable.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients; answer calls and triage inquiries.
• Document patient information, medical history and payments; maintain EMR records.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers with procedures.
• Perform venipuncture, EKGs and routine lab tests as directed.
• Educate patients on instructions, medications, and follow-up care.
