Employment Details:
  • Status: Part-Time (27+ hours per week)
  • Hours: 27 hours/week (54 hours per pay period)
  • Shift: 2nd shift (11am – 8:30 pm)
  • Reports to: OHS/Urgent Care Director
Department Overview:

Wilson Health's Urgent Care provides treatment for all ages for common illnesses and minor injuries, staffed by skilled providers. Services include COVID-19 testing, treatment for colds, flu, minor burns, cuts, allergies, insect bites, rashes, sprains, minor sports injuries, physicals, stitches, and X-rays.

Job Summary:

The Certified Medical Assistant assists patients from lobby to exam room, recording vital signs, medical concerns, medication updates, and allergies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians and support their efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms.
  • Record vital signs, medical concerns, medications, and allergies accurately.
  • Educate patients and family members about medical conditions and care per physician guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant.
  • Previous Urgent Care experience preferred but not required.
