Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in medical billing preferred.
• Urgent Care Billing experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of insurance payers and the AR/revenue billing lifecycle.
• Experience with PM/Billing Software.

Responsibilities

• Billing for Urgent Care centers using internal software.
• Setting up insurance plans within our software.
• Performing insurance verification.
• Following up on claims, rerouting and resubmitting as needed.
• Collaborating with Revenue Cycle Management to resolve billing issues.
• Interfacing with clinic staff on billing and coding matters.
• Supporting patients with billing questions.
• Managing daily clearinghouse rejections.
• Understanding third‑party payor reimbursements.
