Advocate Health seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for their Hugh Chatham Health Family Medicine and Express Care in Dobson, NC. The role features 3 shifts of 12 hours each week, 7am–7pm, with no on-call requirements and a strong emphasis on team-based care.

Required is a NP or PA Master’s, with the ability to order labs, interpret results, and participate in research or student precepting. The clinic is part of a larger academic health system offering comprehensive benefits.

Full Time (0.9FTE) will be scheduled 3(12hr) shifts per week

Pay Range:

$51.05 - $76.60

Position Highlights:

Schedule: 3- 12 hour shifts weekly

Hours: 7am-7pm

Clinic Staffing group : 1 physician, 10 APPs

Clinical support : 1 APP, 4 support staff, 1-2 lab/x-ray, and 1 on-site supervisor

Call: No call

Rotation (Night/Weekends): Every third weekend

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Graduation from accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Master’s Program

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Using medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan.

Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team-based care.

Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures. Explains the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.

Procedural skills per department or practice guidelines

Opportunity to participate in basic science and clinical research projects

Potential for and encouraged to precept students and/or medical learners
