Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Omaha is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide high-quality primary care at MPC Millard Urgent Care. Work schedule: Mon-Fri 10a-10p; weekends/holidays 12p-6p; rotating. Casual/PRN as needed.

The PA will assess, diagnose, and manage treatment plans; order and interpret tests; educate patients; and coordinate with physicians to ensure safe, effective care. Requires ARC-PA accredited PA program graduate and Nebraska PA license.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARC-PA approved PA program.
• Two years of clinical experience preferred.
• Current Nebraska PA license in good standing.
• DEA CSRC registration required.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform primary health care via assessment and diagnosis.
• Take patient history, conduct physical exams and document findings.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with follow-up and evaluation.
• Collaborate with physicians and other team members.
• Order tests, interpret results and adjust care as needed.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Maintain complete patient records and ensure quality improvement.
