Job summary

Elevate Indianapolis seeks an Associate Teacher-Mentor to sacrificially serve urban youth by co-leading classrooms and mentoring throughout the year. You will support the Teacher-Mentor staff, manage materials, and help create an inviting, safe learning environment at multiple sites.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, professional development, and delivering Elevate USA curriculum while coordinating with after-school and summer programs; a 12-month commitment is expected.

Qualifications

• Four-year college education or two-year degree and teaching experience preferred.
• Minimum two years of youth service experience.
• Willingness for 24/7/365 availability for year-round role; 12-month commitment.
• Valid Indiana driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Willingness to attend overnight and out-of-state professional development.

Responsibilities

• Teach and manage classroom professionally in accordance with Elevate Indianapolis standards and curriculum.
• Keep records and reports accurate and on time.
• Establish and sustain mentoring relationships with students in caseload.
• Serve as co-teacher/substitute for Middle Elevate classes as needed.
• Support community collaborations and volunteer engagement.
