Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of fields such as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc.
• Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, and 1 to 6 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group settings.

Responsibilities

• Processes applications for developments permitted under zoning ordinance and coordinates review with other departments.
• Processes conditional use projects and drafts staff reports for the Planning Commission.
• Reviews subdivision plats for compliance with city regulations.
• Inspects projects under construction to ensure compliance and issues zoning certificates.
• Coordinates with other departments on Planning Commission projects.
• Reviews and processes variance applications.
• Assists in annexation reviews and map corrections and updates.
• Provides information and training for new personnel.
