Job summary

Downtown Committee of Syracuse Inc. is seeking an outdoor maintenance crew member to keep Downtown Syracuse clean and attractive.

The role involves litter control, graffiti removal, power washing, mowing, weeding, snowplowing, landscaping, and maintenance of street furniture, under the supervision of the Environmental Maintenance Supervisor. The position requires operation of small equipment (tractors/bobcat) and the ability to work outdoors in varied weather.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS Driver's License required.
• Experience operating small equipment (tractors, bobcat, etc.).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to use hand and power tools as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Downtown Syracuse to keep it clean and attractive; responsibilities include litter control, graffiti removal, power washing, lawn mowing, weeding, snowplowing, landscaping, and street furniture upkeep.
• Operate equipment such as tractors/bobcat and perform small engine maintenance as required.
• Report to Environmental Maintenance Supervisor.
• Work outdoors in an urban environment and in diverse conditions.
