Job summary

The City of Loveland is seeking a dependable team member to perform semi-skilled maintenance in the Parks Division, emphasizing urban forestry and fleet support. The position is part-year, up to 10 months, with schedules over 30 hours per week and a medical coverage option. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma are required. Training is provided.

You will assist with tree planting, pruning, and fleet upkeep, and support events as needed in a dynamic community.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• 2 years experience in forestry, parks maintenance, fleet/shop maintenance or related field required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must follow verbal and written instructions.
• Use basic hand and power tools, and operate equipment for urban forestry and fleet maintenance.
• Knowledge of tree identification and Colorado semi-arid climate is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Forestry tasks: plantings, pruning, brush chipping, mulching, watering, inventory and maintenance.
• Fleet tasks: transport vehicles/equipment, basic shop cleanup and organization.
• Assist with department projects and special events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
