Job summary

Trees Atlanta in Atlanta, GA seeks a Community Forestry Coordinator to lead the NeighborWoods program, coordinating volunteers, neighbors, and Trees Atlanta staff to plant and maintain trees across the city.

You will plan neighborhood plantings, manage project logistics, use ArcGIS and Salesforce, and help meet grant requirements while advocating urban forestry and engaging diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Two years of related field experience or a BA in a relevant field.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and public speaking ability.
• Knowledge of trees, shrubs, and landscape plants.
• Ability to work with diverse communities and individuals.
• Reliable, self-motivated, highly organized, able to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of volunteers on planting and maintenance projects.
• Plan and implement neighborhood tree plantings with community involvement.
• Coordinate project logistics, including ordering trees and scheduling.
• Update ArcGIS points and Salesforce data for project planning.
• Communicate with partners and staff; represent Trees Atlanta publicly.
