Job summary

International Rescue Committee is seeking a Farm Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of New Roots farm sites, coordinate training, production, and volunteers, and ensure safe, sustainable farming practices. The role reports to the New Roots Program Manager with an end date of 12/31/2027.

Responsibilities include managing equipment, irrigation, aquaponics, land management, and data collection for grants and reporting, while building partnerships with local organizations and community

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in agricultural sciences, agronomy, environmental sciences, agricultural business, or related field.
  • At least three years of agriculture-related experience; diversified vegetable and sustainable/organic production preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage farm operations, infrastructure, and safety including equipment, irrigation, and wash stations.
  • Develop and deliver sustainable agriculture training and field visits for farmers.
  • Track farm production data, soil health, and aquaponics metrics.
  • Foster community partnerships and coordinate with New Roots staff and volunteers.
