Qualifications

• Must possess NJ certification in Elementary P–3 or Elementary K–6 by start date.
• 2+ years in an urban education setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-aligned lessons that foster creativity, curiosity, and mastery of content knowledge.
• Provide engaging individual and group instruction tailored to diverse scholar needs.
• Create a structured, inclusive, collaborative classroom environment promoting respect, creativity, and growth.
• Model emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
• Manage classroom supplies and equipment to ensure access to materials.
• Evaluate scholar work and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
• Stay current with educational research, strategies, and inclusive practices.
• Demonstrate cultural awareness and equitable curriculum/materials.
• Collaborate with support teams and stay informed about I&RS and Special Services.
• Participate in school and organization-wide events to strengthen family and community engagement.
