Job summary

Memphis Business Academy Middle in Memphis, TN is seeking a full-time teacher to develop and execute standards-aligned curricula, assess student progress, and continuously improve instructional practices. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and Tennessee Professional Educator License (required).
• Eligibility for Tennessee license required; content area certification preferred.
• Master’s degree preferred; urban education experience valued.
• Content area certification preferred; strong instructional skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Create standards-aligned curriculum including maps, unit and lesson plans with assessments.
• Develop and implement ambitious lessons targeting student performance at or above grade level.
• Provide engaging, rigorous instruction in whole-class and small-group settings.
• Attend PLC meetings and professional development sessions.
• Enter student performance data timely and use feedback for improvement.
• Collaborate with staff on instructional needs and participate in school activities.
