Job summary

Salem Public Schools is seeking an Anticipated Behavior Specialist for Sarah Parker Remond Elementary School in Salem, MA for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports students with disabilities under SPED supervision and collaborates with staff to promote positive behaviors and academic engagement.

The candidate will implement data-driven behavior plans, participate in IEP teams and district meetings, and utilize CASEL-aligned SEL strategies to foster a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
At least one year of related work experience required.
Experience in urban education preferred.
Safety Care Training Certification (District will provide training).
Current authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Support students with disabilities under supervision of the Special Education Administrator.
Assist in implementing behavior plans and SEL strategies.
Collaborate with school-based teams to identify root causes of behaviors.
Collect and present data showing progress toward goals.
Attend IEP team and school meetings as needed.
Complete required paperwork and participate in district meetings and trainings.
