Job summary

Alvéole is seeking an Urban Beekeeper (1099 contractor) to manage on-site beekeeping for client locations in the Nashville area. You will maintain hives, install new setups, and perform inspections, while collecting data and delivering workshops for communities.

You will travel to sites, log digital records, and ensure safe, sustainable beekeeping practices across the season. Training and support are provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on beekeeping experience and hive health knowledge.
• Ability to manage beekeeping tasks across multiple sites.
• Comfort using mobile and digital tools to log visits and data.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client-site beehives on a 3-week service cycle to support colony health.
• Install new hives and equipment at client locations.
• Conduct routine hive inspections and maintenance.
• Harvest honey directly from hives; target 30 pounds per hive per season.
• Collect samples and field data to monitor hive health.
• Keep accurate records and service reports using digital tools.
• Monitor pests and parasites and treat as required.
• Lead workshops on beekeeping and biodiversity.
• Travel by car to client sites, apiaries, depots, and suppliers.
• Explain Alvéole’s services to clients during visits and workshops.
• Record digital data using Alvéole tools (e.g., Zuper)
