URBAN AND COMMUNITY FORESTRY (UCF) YOUTH CREW MEMBER SUMMER 2025
Idaho Conservation Corps, part of Northwest Youth Corps, is seeking young people ages 15-18 interested in working outdoors while making a positive impact on our urban forests.
Urban and Community Forestry (UCF) crew members will complete urban forest health projects for five weeks throughout the Treasure Valley area. Experienced field staff will provide training and education on urban forestry projects such as tree planting and maintenance, wildfire protection, and invasive plant management. You will join a close-knit team of 8 crew members and two crew leaders, committed to playing a vital role in improving our urban forests and the environment.
This is challenging work. We work in all weather conditions, and our projects are hands-on. All training is provided, and prior experience is not required to apply.
Dates: Session 1: June 2nd to July 3rd, 2025; Session 2: July 8th to August 8th, 2025.
Location: Boise / Garden City or Nampa / Caldwell, Idaho. Crew members are responsible for arriving at the office on time each day (we can provide information on bus and bike routes as needed). Project locations typically include city parks, public lands, and private properties in disadvantaged neighborhoods.
