Job summary

Cedar Ridge is hiring an Utilization Review Coordinator to assess patient records, determine illness severity, and advocate for appropriate care levels. You will liaise with patients, facilities, and insurance companies to coordinate utilization review across departments and ensure reimbursement for services.

The role requires 3-5 years of psychiatric clinical experience, a bachelor’s degree, and preferred MSN/MSW with licensure.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of clinical experience with a psychiatric mental health population.
• Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Social Work or related field).
• MSN or MSW preferred; LPC/LCSW preferred licensure.
• Must be at least 21 years of age; drug test and background check required.

Responsibilities

The Utilization Review Coordinator evaluates patient medical records to determine severity of patient’s illness and the appropriateness of level of care. Serves as liaison for patients and facility with insurance companies. Negotiates and advocates for patient length of stay and level of care. Coordinates utilization review activities with other departments to ensure reimbursement for services provided by the facility. Promotes patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Cedar Ridge. Performs duties in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, and facility mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.

Qualifications
