Job summary

Clive Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated UR Coordinator to support quality care outcomes. You will collaborate with clinicians, case managers, and external organizations to interpret plans and ensure compliant documentation.

The role focuses on admissions screening, treatment planning, discharge planning, and ongoing utilization management, with an on-site schedule Monday through Friday. RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required; Nursing degree preferred.
  • RN licensure is required; BSN highly preferred.
  • Experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting is required.
  • Experience with CMS quality improvement guidelines and Medicare/Medicaid processes.
  • Experience coordinating with external review organizations or similar entities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, clinical staff, and patients to promote quality care outcomes.
  • Interpret treatment plans and medical records in accordance with current standards of care.
  • Interface with treatment team, case managers, managed care organizations, and discharge planning—ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Oversee admissions screening, establishment of treatment plans, and implementation of discharge planning.
  • This position is on-site with full-time hours Monday to Friday.

Clive Behavioral Health is a 100-inpatient bed stand-alone mental health hospital. We provide compassionate inpatient and outpatient care for individuals of all ages who struggle with a behavioral health disorder or co-occurring disorders. Our care providers work closely with patients and their loved ones to help achieve their personal treatment goals. We provide a secure, healing environment for all our patients, staff and visitors. We also offer intensive outpatient programming (IOP) for adolescents aged 13 to 17 and a substance use disorder intensive outpatient program for adults called First Step Recovery. Responsibilities

The UR Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with healthcare providers, clinical staff, and patient’s to promote quality care outcomes, and the effective use of resources. Additional duties include accurately interpreting treatment plans and medical records in accordance with current standards of care along with accurately interpreting participating Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) certification requirements.

The UR Coordinator is responsible for managing the treatment activities offered to the patient, including the appropriate clinical screening of admissions, establishment of treatment plans, interface with the treatment team/external case managers/managed care organizations and implementation and supervision of the discharge planning.

This position is on-site with full-time working hours Monday - Friday.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required - in Nursing is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of three to five years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting. Experience in patient assessment, treatment planning, CMS quality improvement guidelines, in particular experience working with Medicare/Medicaid and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.

Licensure: R.N is required - with BSN highly preferred. Any additional certification related to case management, mental health, and/or quality improvement highly regarded.

Additional Requirements: Complete knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
