Qualifications

• 2+ years in an oil and gas control room, SCADA operations, or upstream field operations role.
• Working knowledge of SCADA, camera, and HMI platforms and data historians such as Ignition and CygNet.
• Strong understanding of upstream production processes including artificial lift, separation, compression, and gas gathering systems.
• Proficiency with PC-based programs (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to work in-office in Midland, TX.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor SCADA, camera, and HMI systems for wells, tank batteries, compressor stations, and pipelines across assigned areas.
• Identify, prioritize, and respond to alarms and abnormal conditions; execute shutdown or isolation procedures per protocols.
• Serve as primary communication link between control room and field operators, pumpers, and third-party carriers during normal and emergency operations.
• Coordinate emergency response activities for spills, fires, gas releases, or equipment failures per HSE procedures.
• Record production volumes, equipment status, downtime events, and changes in real time.
• Support remote startups, shutdowns, and optimization of wells, compressors, and gathering systems.
• Prepare shift-change logs and incident reports; relay ongoing issues to incoming operators.
• Ensure operations comply with safety standards and regulations (OSHA, EPA, state agencies).
• Participate in root-cause analysis and suggest process improvements.
