Job summary

KBI Biopharma is seeking an Upstream Cell Culture Process Development Associate to lead and assist cell culture projects for CHO lines, supporting development, scale-up, and tech transfer to cGMP manufacturing. You will analyze culture data, prepare reports, and collaborate with teams to optimize processes.

The role requires a chemistry/biotech background, hands-on cell culture experience, and strong data-plotting skills with Excel and related software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
• 1–3+ years of experience with degree; more with a Master’s.
• Working knowledge of mammalian cell culture and related processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist setup, operation, and analysis of cell culture and bioreactor processes.
• Maintain batch sheets and GDP-compliant documentation.
• Generate presentations and support technical reports with DOE/Design Expert/JMP data.
• Support process development, scale-up, and tech transfer to manufacturing.
• Collaborate on cross-functional process development teams.
