Job summary

Truth be Told, a restaurant located inside The Study at University of Chicago, is seeking a flex Host to provide genuine hospitality and high-quality service to guests. The ideal candidate will create an engaging environment, offering courteous, responsive, guest-centered service.

Pay rate is $20.60 per hour. Eligible full-time team members receive a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, paid time off, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years experience in a fine dining or upscale casual environment.
• Fluent in English; second language desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of hospitality and guest service.
• Greet guests and seat them promptly.
• Assist with reservations and guide guests to their table.
• Record and confirm reservations via OpenTable or calls.
• Monitor guest waiting lists and respond to inquiries.
• Handle phone calls and process room service and to-go orders.
• Maintain menu and beverage knowledge for guests.
