Job summary

Kriser's Natural Pet in Chicago is seeking a Groomer to provide upscale pet styling and a compassionate grooming experience, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail care, with emphasis on pet well‑being.

You must have at least 6 months of grooming experience, be 18+, and show a passion for dogs with a willingness to work evenings/weekends. Certification is preferred; training is provided. Full-time roles include medical benefits, PTO, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum 6 months of professional experience in pet grooming.
• Grooming tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Passion for dog grooming and the well‑being of pets.
• Knowledgeable in breed standard grooms.
• Skills in scissoring, cleaning, nail trimming, styling and other grooming functions.
• Grooming certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete superior grooms (bathing, brushing, blow drying, de-matting, cutting or trimming hair/fur, gland expression, teeth brushing, nail clipping).
• Provide thorough pet check-in and check-out.
• Alert pet parents to any anomalies.
• Educate pet parents with product knowledge.
• Offer enhancements to meet pets' and parents' needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Rebook with pet parents to promote holistic care.
