The Dewberry in Charleston, SC is seeking an enthusiastic Room Service - In Room Dining Server to join our Food & Beverage team. This full-time role delivers meals to guests, upsells menu items, and ensures all orders meet our high service standards.

You will take orders, manage the POS system, and collaborate closely with kitchen staff to guarantee guest satisfaction. The position requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays and a strong commitment to hospitality excellence.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-work shift duties.
• Take guest orders via telephone using upselling techniques to maximize profitability.
• Know all menu items and ingredients, preparation, and garnishments.
• Suggest daily specials and menu items to guests.
• Enter orders via POS system and notify kitchen of special requests.
• Prepare delivery tray and room service cart with condiments and utensils.
• Deliver beverages and food to guests following service standards.
• Verify bill accuracy and obtain signature upon delivery.
• Handle cash, credit cards, and room charges per policy.
• Ensure patron satisfaction and replenish items as needed.
• Remove and return dirty trays to the dishwashing station.
• Maintain a clean, organized In-Room Dining station.
• Run food to other outlets as needed.
• Provide solutions to patron complaints and escalate when needed.
• Turn in daily shift receipts to Manager on Duty.
• Follow laws and The Dewberry policies for alcohol service.
