Job summary

Study Hotels, CO-OP Restaurant & Lounge inside The Study at University City, invites a friendly Server to deliver attentive breakfast and lunch service to a university and corporate clientele in Philadelphia. You will guide guests through menu offerings, maintain knowledge of beverages and specials, and collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in a fine dining or upscale casual restaurant.
• Availability to work morning shifts, typically 6:00am–3:00pm.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English; second language a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and professional food and beverage service to guests.
• Guide guests through menu offerings, daily specials, and beverage selections.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, allergy considerations, and beverage programs.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout service and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
• Complete opening and closing side work, including setup, breakdown, and detailed cleaning of service areas.
• Work collaboratively with culinary and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support team members as needed to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Continue developing knowledge of food, wine, beer, and cocktails.
