Job summary

United Service Companies is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Santa Clara. The role focuses on hotel security tasks, patrols, and guest safety, with emphasis on reporting and vigilance during late-night hours.

The position offers part-time hours, primarily 11PM-7:30AM, with potential coverage of other shifts. Candidates should have at least 2 years in security, possess a California BSIS Guard Card, and demonstrate strong customer service and writing skills.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of public safety or upscale private security experience.
• Excellent customer service skills and sound judgement.
• Proficient in verbal communication with hotel staff, guests and visitors.
• Effective in conducting hotel security tasks, patrols and safety responsibilities.
• Possess, or can acquire by time of employment, a California BSIS Guard Card.
• Availability and flexibility to work any day, including weekends and holidays, and any work shift based on the operational needs of the hotel.
• Satisfactory writing skills, with the ability to effectively create Security Incident Reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hotel security tasks, patrols and safety responsibilities.
• Respond to emergencies and CCTV monitoring as needed.
• Prepare clear Security Incident Reports.
• Coordinate with hotel staff to ensure guest safety.
