Nicola's Ristorante in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a friendly, professional Host/Hostess to be the first contact for guests. You will manage reservations, guide seating, and support the service team to ensure an exceptional dining experience.

The ideal candidate will communicate clearly, stay organized during peak times, and enjoy a polished, upscale environment. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is preferred; we offer strong benefits including 70% coverage for medical, dental, and vision

Qualifications

• Previous host, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Friendly, positive, and professional demeanor.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using the restaurant’s reservation system.
• Escort guests to tables while providing menus and initial information.
• Coordinate table seating to maintain smooth service flow and server rotation.
• Answer phone calls and assist with reservation inquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
• Communicate guest needs and seating updates with servers and management.
• Assist with guest departures and thank guests for dining with us.
• Support front-of-house operations during peak service times.
