Job summary

Major Food Group in Woodbury, NY is hiring a Host to welcome guests at Parm Woodbury. You will greet guests, present menus, manage seating, and help maintain a smooth dining flow in a high-volume upscale setting.

This full-time role requires flexible hours across days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Experience in hospitality is preferred; you will need strong customer service, a positive attitude, and basic computer skills (POS, OpenTable, Word, Excel).

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume upscale restaurant preferred but not required.
• Previous customer service experience strongly preferred.
• Drive to provide exceptional service.
• Full-time flexible hours (days, nights, weekends, holidays).
• Stand/walk for 8 hours; lift up to 30 lbs.
• Proficient or able to learn POS systems, OpenTable, Word and Excel.
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greets and seats guests, presents menus, and informs them of specials.
• Treats guests to ensure complete satisfaction and exceed expectations.
• Takes names on a waiting list and manages seating flow.
• Keeps track of the floor plan board and table status.
• Answers phone and answers questions about the menu and restaurant.
• Interacts with guests to ensure a positive dining experience.
