Job summary

Columbia Hospitality's The Lodge at Columbia Point in Richland, WA is hiring a server to deliver outstanding dining experiences. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, and work with the culinary team to meet guest needs in a fast-paced guest environment.

Responsibilities include entering orders in the POS, handling payments, upselling, and maintaining a clean dining area while following liquor laws and safety standards. Eligible for comprehensive benefits and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Previous server experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Ability to operate a computerized POS system.
• Knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures.
• Valid State Food Handler’s License and liquor permit.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders and serves food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards.
• Enters orders into computerized Point of Sale system and communicates any special requests to the culinary team.
• Assembles food items, such as appetizers, salads and soups.
• Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages. Ensures that all food and beverage items are served at the correct temperature.
• Maintains current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items.
• Processes guest payments, using proper accounting and cash handling procedures.
• Keeps work area, including guest dining area, clean and organized.
