Job summary

The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs is seeking an experienced Bartender to manage an extensive wine and spirits list and deliver attentive, personalized service at the bar. You will work closely with the kitchen and floor staff to ensure an upscale dining experience, maintain cleanliness, and guide guests through food-and-drink pairings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in hospitality or upscale bartending is highly preferred; however, an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional background will be considered.
• Advanced mixology, wine pairing, and spirit heritage.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation and email communication.
• A highly motivated team player who connects easily with colleagues and drives results through positive energy and seamless collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills, negotiation, conflict resolution and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs. with assistance and proper safety practices.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the calendar of events.

Responsibilities

• Mix classic and craft cocktails with precise measurements and garnishes.
• Greet bar guests warmly and take drink orders with recommendations on wine, spirits, and menu pairings.
• Fulfill drink orders for dining room servers and manage full service for bar guests.
• Maintain knowledge of the restaurant’s menu, wine lists, and allergens.
• Monitor stock levels and inventory; keep the bar clean, organized, and compliant with health standards.
• Ensure responsible service and adherence to health and safety rules.
