Job summary

Red Door Woodfired Grill in Leawood, KS is seeking a Bartender to craft cocktails, pour beer and wine, and provide a warm, memorable guest experience. You will greet guests, present menus, and maintain accuracy and pace at a busy bar, while upholding the brand's hospitality standards.

The role emphasizes storytelling, guest connection, and teamwork, with flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays in a fine-dining atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Current alcohol service certification (state or local requirement).
• Prior bartending experience in full-service or upscale environment preferred.
• Completion of required server training and knowledge.
• Maintain cleanliness, professionalism, and team alignment at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, genuine welcome to every guest at the bar and in the dining room.
• Craft and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.
• Present beverage menus highlighting small-batch cocktails, featured spirits, and rotating options.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of drink recipes, garnishes, and ingredients, including promotions.
• Recommend pairings and cocktails, and spirits and food offerings, through conversational hospitality.
• Manage the pace of the bar with professionalism—balancing guest flow, ticket volume, and takeout orders.
• Prepare and serve drinks for servers’ guests efficiently and accurately, maintaining strong communication with the service team.
• Handle all cash and card transactions with accuracy, integrity, and accountability.
• Maintain bar organization, cleanliness, and presentation—including bar tops, wells, coolers, shelves, and floors.
• Ensure bar seating areas and nearby tables remain clean and inviting.
• Comply with all local alcohol service laws and the company's responsible service policies.
• Support team members by running drinks, assisting with side work, and maintaining a collaborative environment.
• Uphold Red Door standards for appearance, hospitality, and the philosophy of Leave your troubles at the door.
