Responsive Education Solutions 063 - Founders Classical Academy of Flower Mound, TX is seeking a Special Education Teacher for upper school (6th-12th) to support students with disabilities and ensure SPED compliance. Immediate start with a focus on ARD leadership, IEP implementation, and family collaboration.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Special Education and a valid Texas SPED teaching certificate, with opportunities for stipend and varied benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas Special Education teaching certificate; eligibility letters accepted if applicable.
• Additional grade level or content area certification may be required for select positions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with campus admin to support child find and ARD timelines.
• Schedule ARD meetings to determine appropriate placement and IEPs.
• Assist in acquiring contracted service providers as needed.
• Coordinate evaluations and ensure required timeline adherence.
• Collaborate with general ed staff to provide SPED accommodations and services.
• Write and implement IEPs and monitor student progress.
• Prepare and send IEP Reports; coordinate with families and staff.
• Provide time, resources, and materials to support general education goals.
• Ensure compliance with state assessments and alternate assessments.
• Support Intervention processes and transition planning for SPED students.
• Serve as campus resource and trainer for staff on SPED needs.
• Contribute to curriculum renewal and communicate with families.
