Job summary

Colorado Academy seeks a full-time math teacher to cover a short-term leave replacement during the second half of the 2026-2027 school year. The position includes two sections of Integrated Geometry for 9th grade and two sections of Algebra 2 Honors for 10th grade, plus an advisory and a week of Interim program participation as a chaperone.

Qualifications

• We seek candidates with experience, training, and/or a demonstrated interest in teaching math in a student-centered classroom at the secondary school level.
• Candidates should be interested in working on a team of math teachers, implementing an established curriculum.
• Candidates should be eager to join a professional community where collaboration is valued and where openness to growth is the norm.
• Candidates will be expected to share in the day-to-day life of the school community, including serving as an advisor and event chaperone.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
• Demonstrated intercultural competence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Teach two sections each of Integrated Geometry (9th grade) and Algebra2 Honors (10th grade), plus an advisory.
• Cover a short-term leave replacement for the second half of the 2026-2027 school year.
• Collaborate with math teachers to implement the established curriculum.
• Participate in and chaperone during the Interim program in late May.
