As a KIPP KC Public Schools Teacher, your core responsibilities include:

Instructional Delivery and Assessment

• Develop or internalize year-long Missouri State standards-based (or other curriculum-based), backwards-planned unit plans and lesson plans that meet all students’ learning needs
• Use assessment data to modify plans and promote all students’ academic performance
• Incorporate feedback to foster continual improvement
• Maintain accurate records, grade books, and data tracking systems

Academic and Cultural Support

• Take personal responsibility for student achievement
• Collaborate with content and grade-level teams to foster critical thinking and academic rigor
• Build and maintain trusting relationships with students and families
• Participate in school functions such as supervisory duties, staff meetings, open houses, and parent conferences
• Meet professional obligations including punctuality and meeting deadlines
• Model school cultural expectations
• Demonstrate a relentless focus on results, teamwork, and a deep commitment to educational equity and underserved communities
• Hold a valid Missouri Teaching license with the required certification for the subject and level
• Show demonstrated knowledge of the core subject area
• Pass a background check
