Job summary

Cherry Hills Community Church in Highlands Ranch, CO, seeks an Upper Elementary Director to provide spiritual, strategic, and relational leadership for CHCC’s 4th–5th grade ministry, helping kids deepen biblical understanding and grow in faith.

Reporting to the Kids Ministry Pastor, you will equip volunteers, design age-appropriate programming, partner with families, and coordinate with Lower Elementary and Middle School leaders to ensure a smooth developmental transition.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in children's ministry or related setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, ministry, child development, or related field.
• Proven ability to recruit, equip, and retain volunteer leaders.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with families and volunteers.
• Ability to develop developmentally appropriate, gospel-centered programming.

Responsibilities

• Create developmentally appropriate discipleship experiences for 4th and 5th graders.
• Lead weekend ministry experiences that are safe, welcoming, relational, and developmentally appropriate.
• Recruit, train, and care for volunteer teams with a culture of unity and discipleship.
• Collaborate with families and staff to support transitions toward adolescence.
• Plan and execute special events, outreach opportunities, and ministry milestones.
