Job Description

This position is a full-time (1.0 FTE) role located at Barrett Elementary School.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and work effectively with principal, staff, and parents.
• Collaborate as a team member with special education and general education staff.
• Maintain excellent interpersonal skills.
• Be willing to compromise.
• Demonstrate good initiative, flexibility, dependability, and organizational skills.
• Exhibit a strong sense of professionalism.

Experience

• Experience teaching upper elementary students (4th and 5th grades).

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
• Elementary Education certification.
• Must have AMI or AMS training for grades 4-12 and grades 4th and 5th.

Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in other content areas, is preferred but not required.
