Job summary

MixyPaws is looking for a dependable person to join our professional team as a Dog Walker. This is a part-time, W-2 employed position that receives benefits like paid time off (PTO) and 401(k) payroll contributions.

Additionally, you will be provided with paid training and education on dog and cat behavior throughout your tenure with us! You will lead 30-60 minute walks, handle pet care per client instructions, and build rapport with pets and their owners.

Qualifications

• Availability for Monday–Friday with minimum 2 hours per day.
• Must be able to commute to Manhattan.
• Prior dog/cat experience is a plus but not required.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. and age 18+.
• Smartphone with data plan required for updates and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Lead 30–60 minute walks and active play sessions.
• Prepare dogs with safety gear for outings.
• Administer food, water, or medications per client instructions.
• Clean up after pets outdoors and indoors as needed.
• Send updates/photos and log behavior or health notes.
• Build strong rapport with pets and their owners.

Role Overview

MixyPaws is looking for a dependable person to join our professional team as a Dog Walker! What You'll Do:

• Prepare the dogs in each household to go outside with appropriate safety gear
• Lead 30-60 minute walks and active play sessions
• Administer food, water, or medication per client instructions.
• Clean up after pups outdoors and indoors as needed.
• Send updates/photos and log behavior or health notes.
• Build strong rapport with pets and their owners

What We're Looking For:

• Availability: Monday-Friday, minimum 2 consistent hours per day
• Ability to commute to and around Manhattan
• Prior experience with dogs and cats is a plus, but not required.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. and a minimum age of 18.
• Capable of withstanding all weather conditions outside and several hours of walking each day.
• A smartphone with a data plan for communication and tracking walks.

Pay & Perks:

• Paid per walk (rate varies by visit length and location).
• Typical earnings: $100-$350 per week
• Hours and Income are based on availability and business needs.
• PTO accrual and 401(k) eligibility after 6 months.
• Walkers on dedicated weekday routes will also be eligible for a $300 bonus after a successful 90-day performance review.
