Job summary

MixyPaws, Inc. is seeking a Lead Dog Walker in New York to join a friendly pet-care team. The role is part-time with a guaranteed 20 hours per week and W-2 employment.

You will travel to various neighborhoods, walk dogs in different service areas, and support a growing client base while maintaining high safety and service standards. Compensation is $19.00 per hour with a guaranteed 25 working hours per week.

Qualifications

• Availability during business hours Monday–Friday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM with some flexibility.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and have excellent communication skills.
• Able to handle varied weather and longer walking hours.
• Knowledge of New York's neighborhoods is preferred.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and at least 18 years old.
• Experience interfacing with clients and canine companions.
• Must have a smartphone with data plan for communication and walk tracking.

Responsibilities

• Travel to service areas to manage dog walking routes and duties.
• Ensure coverage during emergencies to guarantee all dogs enjoy their walks.
• Assist in training and guiding new staff on routes and procedures.
• Manage newly acquired client routes and distribute marketing materials.
• Respond promptly to staff and client inquiries to maintain clear communication.
• Help document staff adherence to performance and safety standards.
• Audit onboarding, key management, and client account details.

• Promptly respond to communication from staff and clients, maintaining effective dialogue.
• Support in documenting staff adherence to performance and safety standards.
• Conduct thorough audits of employee onboarding, key management, and client account details.

Position Details: Part-Time Role

Pay Structure: $19.00 per hour, with a guaranteed 25 working hours per week, totaling $475.00 weekly. Additional hours and paid services may be available based on business demand.
