Join our team as an Environmental Services Associate - Float Pool at UPMC!

Are you seeking a dynamic role with varied daily experiences and opportunities to make a meaningful impact? UPMC is looking for dedicated and adaptable individuals to join our Environmental Services Float Pool, serving multiple hospital campuses in Oakland, including UPMC Mercy, Montefiore, Magee-Womens Hospital, Presbyterian, and Shadyside. In this vital role, you'll maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors, with exposure to various hospital settings and teams. Shifts are available!

Responsibilities:

• Perform duties in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors.
• Clean assigned areas such as patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices, and equipment following established procedures.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
• Inspect and ensure all areas are properly cleaned and in good repair; report issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain and report on the condition of equipment.
• Make beds according to established procedures.
• Move equipment, furniture, and perform cleaning tasks like washing walls and spot cleaning carpets.
• Remove trash from all assigned areas.
• Replenish supplies like paper towels, toilet paper, and soap to ensure adequate stock.
• Follow written and verbal instructions to complete housekeeping duties successfully.
• Use housekeeping equipment properly.
• May encounter rooms where medications are stored; no contact with medications is allowed.
