Xanitos, Inc. is hiring part-time Patient Transporters, Patient Sitters and Housekeepers for all shifts at UPMC Altoona in Altoona, PA.

The team supports patient transport, observation and housekeeping services on client premises, with training and leadership from Xanitos and hospital staff. Responsibilities include safe patient handling, timely transport of items, and ensuring high patient satisfaction while adhering to all safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical EVS/transport is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Flexible schedule, including possible weekends and all shifts.

Xanitos is hiring Part-time Patient Transporters, Patient Sitters and Housekeepers for all shifts at UPMC Altoona in Altoona, PA.

• 90-day Temp to hire ( EVS and Transport)
• Part-time employees are scheduled 3 days a week, 8-hour shifts, may include weekends (hours are subject to change)

Job Overview:

Responsible for providing patient visual and audible observation of assigned patients with the alignment of a Registered Nurse (RN) and directed by the Xanitos Leadership team.

Responsible for the safe, timely and accurate transportation of Patients, specimens, supplies, medical equipment and patient related items to their destination, enabling physicians, nurses, technicians and therapists to perform their duties as effectively as possible. Ensures a high level patient and customer satisfaction is maintained. Adheres to and follows proper utilization of body mechanics, policies and procedures, and standards established by Xanitos, hospital, department and regulatory agencies.

The Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers may work in any location on client premises. This individual cleans and keeps in an orderly condition facilities or locations in a health care campus.

Job Qualifications:

• Successful applicants for this position must complete a Finger Print Scan and clear a Child Abuse Report.
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required but strongly recommended.
• Experience in the medical EVS industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment is a plus.
• Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
